Taiwan Travelogue, a tale of forbidden love and Taiwanese food, has won the International Booker Prize.

It’s the first novel translated from Mandarin Chinese to win the prestigious award. BBC Chinese met with author Yang Shuang-zi for a food tour, and to learn more about her inspiration behind the book.
