Vijit Chao Phraya 2025, a light and sound event, runs from 9 Nov to 23 Dec 2025 in Bangkok, honoring Queen Sirikit. It features drone shows, themed installations, and cultural tributes.

Light of Siam – Mother of the Land

Bangkok, 2025 celebrates the “Vijit Chao Phraya 2025” light and sound spectacular from November 9 to December 23, along the Chao Phraya River. Reflecting a national mourning period for Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, the event embraces the theme “Light of Siam – Mother of the Land”. Held nightly from 6 to 10 PM, the show features serene drone performances instead of fireworks, culminating in a New Year’s Eve candle-lighting ceremony titled “Light of the Nation”.

Enchanting Landmarks

Fourteen landmarks along the river, from Rama VIII Bridge to Rama III Bridge, interpret the theme through light, sound, and storytelling. Highlights include the “Royal Compassion” on Rama VIII Bridge, “Might of the Thai Navy” at the Royal Thai Naval Institute, and “Dawn of Siam” at Wat Arun Ratchawararam. These installations blend traditional motifs with modern technology, creating an immersive experience that honors the Queen Mother’s compassion and grace.

A Harmonious Tribute

Free and open to the public, the event offers multiple nightly performances. Drone shows named “Light of Siam – Mother of the Land” depict royal duties, with performances on specific dates. Highlights like “The Thai-conic Lighting Symphony” at ICONSIAM feature music by Dr. Narong Prangcharoen. The “Crystal of Life” art installation symbolizes harmony between nature and urban life. Full details and schedules are available on the official Facebook page.
