BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Uzbekistan and
Azerbaijan discussed preparations for upcoming high-level events,
as well as the expansion of trade, economic, investment, and
industrial cooperation.

This was announced by the press service of the Uzbek Foreign
Ministry.

According to the Ministry, the discussions took place during the
latest round of political consultations in Tashkent. The talks were
held on August 19 at the level of the two countries’ deputy foreign
ministers, Bobur Usmanov and Samir Sharifov.

The parties reviewed the current state and prospects for the
development of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations in the spirit of
strategic partnership and alliance, as well as issues related to
strengthening political dialogue and expanding multifaceted

cooperation, as well as developing cooperation in the fields of
transportation, logistics, energy, and culture.
