TikTokers have been saying goodbye to the app and to their “personal Chinese spy” who has allegedly been surveilling them over the years.

The BBC spoke to US influencers who participated in these trends and how they feel about a possible move to Chinese app RedNote.

A TikTok ban in the US is set to go ahead on Sunday after the Supreme Court rejected an appeal.
