The new flight routes to and from Spain this spring

This spring brings with it a raft of new flight routes to and from Spain, meaning you can enjoy more holidays and more connections across Europe, Asia and America.

If you’re looking for some inspiration for trips this spring, perhaps for Easter or Semana Santa, then take a look at these new flight routes that will be connecting Spanish cities with destinations across the globe. 

Whether it’s a little long-weekend city break to Bucharest or Reykjavik or something longer like a week in spring in New York or an adventure in India, there’s something for everyone. 

LISTED: The new flight routes to and from Spain in 2025

Almería to Southend (UK)

Low-cost airline easyJet has announced it will connect the southern Spanish city of Almería with Southend from April 1st 2025. There will be two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Madrid to New Delhi (India) 

Iberojet will begin flights between the Spanish capital and India in April 2025 with a new direct route that will link Madrid and Delhi.

Valencia to Reykjavik (Iceland)

Budget Icelandic airline Play will fly to Valencia from May.

Valencia to Copenhagen (Denmark)

SAS will connect Valencia to the Danish capital from from May with flights twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, until October 2025. 

Valencia to Vilnius (Lithuania)

airBaltic will link Valencia to Vilnius starting on April 16th, with two flights a week until September 2025.

Jerez to Warsaw

TUI Poland will connect Warsaw with Jerez Airport with a charter flight that will begin operating in April.

Zaragoza to Rome (Italy)

A new Wizz Air flight will be operations starting from April 1st from Zaragoza to the Italian capital of Rome. It will offer weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flights will depart from Zaragoza Airport to Rome Fiumicino at 8:20am, with a two-hour journey, landing at 10:20am. For the return flight from Rome to Zaragoza, the flight will depart at 5:35am and land at 7:40am. Tickets will cost from €60 to €100.

Zaragoza to Bucharest (Romania)

Dan Air will offer two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays between Zaragoza and the Romanian capital starting on April 12th. The flight from Bucharest to Zaragoza departs at 8am and the flight from Zaragoza to Bucharest at 11:30am. 

Bilbao to New York (US) 

United Airlines has announced three weekly flights between Bilbao and Newark in New York. The route will start from June 1st 2025, making Bilbao the sixth Spanish airport to operate direct flights from New York with United Airlines. Flights will take place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from the Basque capital.
