Thailand will host the 2025 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship from August 22 to September 7, aiming to boost tourism and the economy, attracting 1.3 million visitors and 8.43 billion baht in revenue.

Thailand has been officially selected to host the 2025 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship, a decision approved by the Cabinet to enhance tourism and stimulate the local economy. This initiative follows a proposal from the Tourism and Sports Ministry, presented by the Thailand Volleyball Association during the International Volleyball Federation meeting in Portugal.

The tournament is scheduled from August 22 to September 7, with matches taking place in Chiang Mai, Phuket, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Bangkok. The event will showcase 32 international teams, including top-ranked nations like Serbia, China, and the United States.

Expected to attract 1.3 million visitors, the championship aims to showcase Thailand’s tourist attractions and cultural heritage. This event is projected to generate around 8.43 billion baht, boosting confidence among travelers and investors alike.
