The “Nihao Month” campaign, previewed in Guangzhou, aims to enhance Thailand’s tourism by celebrating cultural ties with China. It includes exclusive events and privileges for Chinese travelers.

Nihao Month Preview

Bangkok, 17 September 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) introduced the “Nihao Month” campaign in Guangzhou, China, before its official launch in Bangkok on 25 September. This initiative aims to promote travel during China’s Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Golden Week, offering unique tourism experiences in Thailand. Senior representatives from both countries attended the Guangzhou preview, highlighting Thailand’s appeal as a travel destination that promises quality experiences for Chinese visitors.

Cultural Exchange and Campaign Launch

Ms. Thapanee, TAT Governor, emphasized the Guangzhou preview as a symbol of friendship between Thailand and China. Anticipation builds for the Bangkok launch, featuring a cultural showcase during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Thai stars Billkin Putthipong and Pong Nawat will make special appearances, blending traditional celebrations with Thailand’s modern cultural influence. The Nihao Month campaign is set to attract Chinese KOLs and content creators, promoting cultural exchange and tourism.

Exclusive Benefits for Chinese Visitors

The Nihao Month campaign also introduces promotions like the “Chinese Passport Privilege,” offering special benefits at major Thai retailers, spas, and tourist services. Partner organizations include OTAs like Ctrip and platforms such as Alipay. Meanwhile, the “Thailand, Told by You – UGC Challenge & FAM Trip” encourages Chinese creators to showcase their experiences in Thailand, further enhancing bilateral relations. Celebrating 50 years of diplomatic ties, the campaign strengthens the tourism bond between the two nations.
