Suicide Attack On Police Facility In Northwest Pakistan Leaves Many Dead And Wounded

At least 16 people were reported dead and dozens were injured after an attacker drove a vehicle packed with explosives into a police complex in Pakistan. Officials said several other attackers died in a shootout with police after the initial blast in the city of Kohat in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. Parts of Pakistan near the border with Afghanistan have seen a sharp increase in violent incidents in recent months, which Pakistani leaders blame on armed groups with ties to the Afghan Taliban.
