The southern Spanish city of Seville will increase its destination offering this winter season, with new flights to and from France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland.

The Andalusian capital continues to consolidate itself as the region’s second main destination for international tourists after Málaga with the launch of several new European routes.

Budget airline easyJet has announced four new routes between Seville and Lyon (France), Milan (Italy), Berlin (Germany), and Amsterdam (Netherlands), each with two weekly flights.

These flights will begin operating at the end of October and will add around 65,000 seats. The airline will also increase its capacity at Seville Airport by 42 percent.

Another low-cost airline, Ryanair is due to add connections between Seville and two Polish cities for the winter season -Warsaw and Wroclaw, both with two weekly flights.

An increase in flight frequencies has also been added to and from Turin (Italy), Treviso (Italy), Rabat (Morocco), Porto (Portugal), and Manchester (UK).

In total, its 2025/2026 winter schedule in Seville will include 50 routes.

According to data from airport operator Aena, the Andalusian capital is currently connected to a total of 80 airports, 61 of which are international.

Local authorities also want to make sure that part of the €13-billion investment announced by state-owned airport operator Aena recently to expand and modernise Spain’s airports goes to Seville’s Aeropuerto de San Pablo.

Ryanair has been increasing its flights recently to popular Spanish destinations such as Málaga, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Madrid.

It has however, drastically cut flights from many smaller regional airports in order to protest fee hikes from Aena.

Back in September, the airline announced the closure of its Santiago de Compostela base and the cancellation of flights to Vigo, as well as cutting all flights to Tenerife North, and a reduction in capacity to Santander and Zaragoza.

It also slashed all flights to Asturias at the beginning of October.

The airline already cut 800,000 seats on flights to Spain this summer and will slash a million more for the upcoming winter season. This represents a reduction of almost two million seats by the end of 2025.
