Fertiliser maker Paradeep Phosphates Ltd (PPL) reported a 24 per cent rise in profit after tax for the first quarter ended June 2026 on higher revenues. The company reported a PAT of ₹393 crore for Q1FY27 as against ₹317.26 crore over the same period last year.

Revenues for the quarter were up 36% at ₹6,124 crore, against the corresponding last quarter’s ₹4,503 crore. Sales volumes were up by 4 per cent at 9.85 lakh tonnes. EBITDA rose 24% YoY to Rs 764 crore, while PBT increased 24% YoY to Rs 526 crore.

Despite the prevailing global uncertainties led by the West Asia conflict (which resulted in a sharp escalation and volatility in raw material prices), PPL delivered a strong performance on the strength of its existing supply chain efficiencies, agile sourcing diversification strategy for key raw materials and pan-India marketplace selling and distribution capabilities.

N. Suresh Krishnan, Managing Director & CEO, said, “PPL has once again demonstrated strong operational and financial performance for the Q1FY27 reflecting the strength of our integrated operations and our agility to navigate the global volatility. We have been able to run our plants efficiently in the Q1 FY 27 and have managed sourcing of key raw materials competitively. Our key expansion project of Phos Acid expansion (Phase 1) from 500,000 MTPA to 700,000 MTPA at Paradeep is on track.”

“The board of PPL in its Q1FY27 meeting approved a ₹250-crore investment proposal to set up an Aluminium Fluoride (AlF3) plant at Paradeep. The proposed investment aligns with the company’s strategic objective to diversify into the related industrial chemicals space and will build and strengthen the company’s non-subsidy portfolio in due course. The proposed investment is a reinforcement of manufacturing excellence capability by having a by-product converted into value added products. These investments in Speciality /Industrial Chemicals will further augment our endeavour to create long-term value for our shareholders. Looking ahead, we believe global uncertainty will prevail and we will remain committed to drive growth in this challenging time through focussed and agile operational discipline,” Krishnan added.
