Players To Watch

Arch Manning

Manning completed 14 of 19 passes for 201 yards with an interception in Texas’ 20-17 win at Tennessee. He has 862 passing yards and seven touchdown passes through four games, including four in a 59-7 win over Texas State, and he threw for 305 yards in that game. He has also thrown three interceptions and run for 82 yards.

Oklahoma has allowed 64 points through four games, an average of 16.0 per game, and has 13 sacks, tied for 31st nationally. The Sooners lost 17-10 at Michigan. Adepoju Adebawore leads Oklahoma with 2.5 sacks, and Manning averaged 10.6 yards per attempt at Tennessee.

John Mateer

Mateer completed 25 of 34 passes for 231 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Oklahoma’s 41-13 loss at Georgia. He has 883 passing yards and eight touchdowns this season, and had 238 yards against New Mexico. He has thrown four interceptions in four games. He threw three touchdowns against UTEP and has 76 rushing yards.

No. 1 Texas has allowed 53 points through four games, an average of 13.3 per game. The Longhorns allowed 7 points to Texas State and 6 to UTSA. Rasheem Biles leads Texas with two interceptions and 27 tackles.

Players To Watch

Gunner Stockton

Stockton completed 25 of 32 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns without an interception in the 38-14 win over Vanderbilt. He has thrown for 1,049 yards and 13 touchdowns through five games, including five touchdown passes against Western Kentucky. He has added 122 rushing yards.

No. 6 Alabama has 16 sacks this season, tied for ninth nationally, and a turnover margin of plus-7, tied for eighth. Devan Thompkins leads Alabama with 3.0 sacks. Stockton has thrown one interception on 102 attempts this season.

Keelon Russell

Russell threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns on 16-of-22 passing in the 56-23 win at Mississippi State. He has 1,414 passing yards and 11 touchdown passes this season, including 365 yards and four touchdowns against South Carolina. He has thrown for at least 285 yards in three straight games and has four rushing touchdowns.

No. 2 Georgia has allowed 67 points through five games. Its highest totals allowed were 20 to Western Kentucky and 17 to Arkansas. Georgia has a plus-6 turnover margin, tied for 10th, and both of Russell’s interceptions this season came in the win at Kentucky.
