This joint high-level event on housing hosted by the European Parliament’s Special Committee on the Housing Crisis in the EU (HOUS) and the European Commission’s Housing Task Force will mark the progress made since the publication of the European Affordable Housing Plan in December 2025 and the European Parliament resolution on the EU housing crisis in March 2026.

The event will bring together MEPs, policymakers and civil society to further support dialogue and action on political commitments including financing the housing transition, areas under housing stress, the construction sector, and housing and young people.

Closing remarks will be delivered by Irene Tinagli, Chair of the European Parliament’s HOUS committee and Dan Jørgensen, Commissioner for Energy and Housing.

The event will take place in ANTALL 6Q2, European Parliament Brussels, 5 May 2026, 08:30-12:30
