Jimmy Carter lies in state after procession to US Capitol

Former president Jimmy Carter’s remains arrived in Washington DC from his home state of Georgia on Tuesday. His remains travelled aboard Special Air Mission 39 from Dobbins Air Reserve Base to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

After a vehicle procession, his body arrived to the US Capitol, where he will lie in state for two days.
