The government has introduced the “Easy E-Receipt 2.0” program to stimulate consumer spending and bolster the economy. This initiative provides tax deductions for eligible purchases made until the end of next month.

Key Takeways

  • The government launched the “Easy E-Receipt 2.0” program offering tax deductions to boost spending. Participants can deduct up to 50,000 baht from their 2025 taxes, splitting between general store purchases and community, OTOP, and social enterprise purchases.
  • Eligible items for deductions include those from VAT-registered vendors, books, OTOP, community, and social enterprise products. Exclusions apply to alcohol, tobacco, fuel, vehicles, utilities, insurance, and certain long-term fees.
  • The program expands with over 12,000 businesses and 108,000 vendors issuing electronic receipts. Participants must ensure receipts include required details. It encourages digital payments and supports local businesses, with more information available via the Revenue Department’s hotline.

Under the program, participants can deduct up to 50,000 baht from their 2025 personal income taxes. This includes 30,000 baht for purchases from general stores offering electronic tax receipts and an added 20,000 baht for items bought from community enterprises, OTOP outlets, and social enterprises in line with program criteria.

Eligible purchases include those from VAT-registered vendors, physical or electronic books, OTOP products, and goods from approved community and social enterprises. However, deductions exclude alcohol, tobacco, fuel, vehicles, utilities, insurance, and specific long-term services.

The program is widely accessible, with over 12,000 businesses and 108,000 vendors authorized to issue electronic receipts. Taxpayers must include their full name and taxpayer ID on receipts.

“Easy E-Receipt 2.0” builds on past successes, promoting digital payments while aiding local enterprises. For more information, contact the Revenue Department’s RD Intelligence Center at 1161.
