Russia is experiencing severe fuel shortages as a result of Ukrainian strikes on its energy infrastructure, resulting in high prices and long lines for gasoline. Now Central Asian countries, which rely heavily on imports of Russian petroleum products, are seeing similar price hikes and shortages of some types of fuel. Experts told RFE/RL that Kyrgyzstan is looking to China and Azerbaijan to compensate for the shortfall.
