Children, parents, and doctors met in Kyiv for an event called the Breakfast of Gratitude: a chance to celebrate young patients’ recovery from organ transplants. For several children, survival has meant enduring not only illness and surgery, but also Russian attacks like last year’s assault on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital.
