Eurostat’s podcast series Stats in a Wrap offers a captivating journey into the world of statistics.

With four seasons behind us and the first episode of season five on the new edition of the Glossary for transport statistics out in January, we are already planning our next episode for March. It will focus on the production and use of chemicals that can be dangerous for people and the environment.

While waiting for the new episode, we encourage you to celebrate World Radio Day by exploring some highlights from season four:

  • Learn how population statistics can provide crucial insights into society and help governments plan infrastructure and services in ‘What makes population statistics unique?’.
  • Gain insights on ‘Young people on today’s labour market’ from experts and find out what challenges statisticians face in painting an accurate picture of this domain.
  • Reflect on the challenges that women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers experience in ‘Looking at data on women in research and innovation’.
