So: we really, really don’t like Maduro but we do want international law observed. And, as a later X post from Mark Carney added, we welcome “the opportunity for freedom, democracy, peace, and prosperity for the Venezuelan people.” But what has given Venezuelans this welcome opportunity for all those good things? The helicopters swooping in and Donald Trump’s arrest and detention of Maduro. So do we think that was a good thing or a bad thing?
