Tsunami Hits Kamchatka Region Following 8.8-Magnitude Quake

Shoreline areas of Kamchatka, Russia, were inundated with vast damage following an 8.8 earthquake offshore that shook up hospitals, airports and other areas. People scrambled for cover as some buildings collapsed while debris fell. The full extent of destruction was still being assessed on July 30 as rescue teams rushed to the scene of emergency calls.
