Ahead of a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House, US President Donald Trump said the US military campaign in Iran has “knocked out” much of that country’s armed forces and defense systems. Trump also warned about the risks of a leadership vacuum following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying Iran could wind up with a leader “as bad as the previous person.”
