Thailand’s Tourism Authority won two World Tourism Awards 2025, highlighting its leadership in Smart Tourism through digital innovations like TAT-AI and the “Half-Half Thai Travel” campaign.

Thailand Shines at World Tourism Awards

Thailand’s tourism leadership was highlighted as it secured two awards at the World Tourism Awards 2025 in Brussels. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) was honored for its excellence in Smart Tourism, showcasing advancements in digital innovation and competitiveness. The event celebrated TAT’s achievements in implementing AI and data intelligence in the tourism sector.

Award-Winning Initiatives

TAT earned the “Best Use of AI in Travel” for its TAT-AI initiative, a groundbreaking project enhancing Thailand’s tourism data infrastructure. The “Half-Half Thai Travel” campaign also clinched the “Most Innovative Tourism Campaign” title. These accolades emphasize TAT’s commitment to digital transformation and strategic marketing, positioning Thailand as a leading Smart Tourism destination globally.

Future-Forward Strategies

Mr. Kittipong Prapattong, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Digitalisation, received the awards, highlighting TAT’s role in driving a digital ecosystem. The proactive initiatives supported local economies, enhanced traveler experiences, and fostered inclusive growth. With significant economic contributions, such as generating 35 billion Baht, TAT aims to strengthen Thailand’s position as a Smart Tourism Hub in Asia.
