The Board of Investment has approved two major data centre projects worth 60 billion baht in total to meet the growing demand for cloud services in Thailand and ASEAN. One project, valued at 32 billion baht, will be carried out by Quartz Computing, an affiliate of Alphabet Inc., while the other, valued at 28 billion baht, will be implemented by Digital Land Services. Both data centres will be located in Chon Buri province and are expected to be operational by 2027.

These hyper-scale projects will support 5G technology, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and AI. Additionally, the BOI has endorsed a Chinese company’s project for precursor materials for printed circuit boards and implemented measures to assist businesses affected by recent flooding.
