The Molam Festival in Roi Et and Udon Thani showcases Isan’s musical heritage and promotes sustainable tourism with traditional performances and T-Pop, plus eco-friendly practices and cultural workshops.

Discover Isan’s Musical Heritage

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is unveiling the “Molam Festival,” highlighting Isan’s unique musical tradition. Set in Roi Et from September 19-21 and Udon Thani from September 26-28, the festival celebrates Molam’s distinct folk music. Attendees can enjoy performances by renowned troupes like Rabiab Watasilp and Prathom Banterngsilp. The event also fosters sustainable tourism through eco-friendly practices.

A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity

The Molam Festival runs from 17.00 to 24.00, featuring performances by T-Pop artists such as Bamm and Instinct. This blend of traditional and modern music bridges generations and revitalizes Isan’s cultural identity. Through engaging showcases and workshops, the festival enriches experiential tourism, part of TAT’s “5 Must-Do Experiences in Thailand.”

Engage in Sustainable Tourism

Aligned with responsible tourism, the festival includes eco-friendly activities like natural-dyed fabric workshops. Visitors can savor local cuisine and explore vibrant markets, reinforcing Isan as a prime destination. With chances to win prizes worth over 300,000 Baht, the festival offers a comprehensive cultural experience. For details, visit TAT’s official Facebook pages or contact the TAT Centre.
