
The new flight from Zurich to Seattle is the only direct route from Switzerland to the northwestern US city.
On June 2nd, Edelweiss, which is partly owned by SWISS airline, took off for the first time for Washington state’s largest city.
These flights will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Saturdays, until September 15th, 2025.
With the addition of Seattle, Edelweiss now flies directly from Zurich to four holiday destinations in the USA — Tampa Bay (Florida), Las Vegas, and Denver.
Elsewhere in North America too
The airline also operates non-stop flights to Canadian destinations.
It flies to Calgary from May to September, and to Vancouver from May to October.
And from July 2025 to October, Edelweiss will operate new flights from Zurich to Halifax, on Thursdays and Sundays.
All these flights, along with other Edelweiss destinations, leave from the airline’s Zurich hub.
Travellers from the French-speaking part of Switzerland can connect to Zurich with the flights from Geneva, or by train directly to Zurich airport.
