The threat of additional rain has led to various flash floods warnings in Central Texas. Over the weekend, several motorists were rescued after driving into high water.
The National Weather Service has forecast thunderstorms capable of producing “excessive rainfall and potential flooding.” The warning has prompted Kerr County officials to ask rescuers to halt search operations for victims of the deadly floods that occurred in the Texas Hill Country region just over a week ago.
That flooding killed at least 132 people, with dozens still missing.
