IRU proposes Trans-Caspian corridor as global trade model


The International Road Transport Union (IRU) has announced plans to transform the Trans-Caspian transport route — also known as the Middle Corridor — into a global model for efficient and interconnected trade. As mentioned by IRU, freight volumes from China to Europe via the Middle Corridor increased by over 80 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year, with expectations of continued growth.
