Godrej will develop titanium material-based complex ventilation assemblies for LEAP engines
Godrej’s aerospace business has secured a five-year agreement with Safran Aircraft Engines to develop titanium-based complex ventilation assemblies for LEAP engines.
The LEAP engines, developed by CFM International, power next-generation narrow-body aircraft. Production will involve complex machining, precision welding, and advanced non-destructive testing to meet civil aviation’s stringent standards.
Manufacturing precision
Further, the complex ventilation assemblies, located within the engine’s main turbine shaft, require advanced manufacturing precision and stringent quality standards.
“By producing such highly complex components right here in India, we are advancing the vision of Make in India, for the world. Our partnership with Safran Aircraft Engines reflects our shared commitment to quality, reliability, and innovation at a global scale,” said Maneck Behramkamdin, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Aerospace Business, a part of Godrej Enterprises Group.
