GoDigital Music says it has acquired “several” Latin music catalogs in a transaction valued at approximately $115 million.

The company said that the deal adds more than 30,000 new assets to its catalog and was financed by Regions Bank and Corrum Capital.

As part of the announcement, GoDigital Music also revealed that it has acquired the publishing catalog of Marc Anthony, whom it calls “one of the most influential Latin artists of all time”. The company confirmed that the separate Marc Anthony deal was an eight-figure transaction.

According to GoDigital Music, the Marc Anthony catalog, which includes hits like Vivir Mi Vida, Rain Over Me, and Ahora Quien,  “continues to bring in hundreds of millions of streams per month across platforms, demonstrating a legacy of global hits and enduring cultural impact.”

The news of the deals arrives a month after Cinq Music’s parent company, GoDigital, secured USD $230 million in a new capital raise, bringing its total capital raised to date to over USD $1 billion.

Last month’s funding news arrived alongside a revamp of the GoDigital brand.

The company shed its former “Media Group” identity and said that it is “leaning into the future” with the creation of three new business units: GoDigital Music, Networks, and Brands.

According to GoDigital Music, the latest transaction (that also included catalogs from Saving Abel and Slum Village) underscores “the company’s commitment to investing in culturally significant music IP across genres and generations”.

GoDigital Music said that the acquisition adds a diverse mix of Latin, rock, and hip-hop works to its catalog.

The catalogs include “a flagship collection” of Regional Mexican music from the 1980s to 2000s and spans genres including Ranchera, Norteño, Banda, Corridos, and Cumbia, with “an average age of earnings exceeding 20 years,” the company said.

Notable artists in the collection include Los Socios del Ritmo, Marisela, 3BallMTY, Tierra Cali and LDNE.

GoDigital Music said that the deal “represents one of the largest Latin music acquisitions of the year’ and “underscores GoDigital’s growing influence as a long-term investor in global music rights”.

“We’re grateful for the collaboration with all parties involved and delighted to have brought this across the line.”

Alessandro Fiorotto

“It was a very complex deal to structure and close,” said Alessandro Fiorotto, who led the transaction as CFO for Cinq Music, a GoDigital Music company.

“We’re grateful for the collaboration with all parties involved and delighted to have brought this across the line.”

“Latin music isn’t just growing, it’s the new global soundtrack.”

Jason Peterson, GoDigital

GoDigital Founder, Jason Peterson said: “Latin music isn’t just growing, it’s the new global soundtrack.

“These catalog acquisitions reinforce GoDigital Music’s commitment to investing in culturally relevant music IP and building platforms that connect artists with audiences across generations and geographies.”Music Business Worldwide
