Mourners gathered in Bilohorodka, west of Kyiv, for the funeral of Svitlana Chernovol, who was killed along with her partner when a drone hit their residential building. Her neighbor, an RFE/RL correspondent, had rushed to her apartment to save the victim’s four-year-old daughter from the fire. Friends remembered Chernovol as a kind and supportive person who loved working with customers at her beauty salon.
