Flooding in Northern Thailand is improving. Most attractions have reopened, except some in Nan and Phrae. Travelers should check conditions and plan. Air, rail, and road travel continue with minor delays.

Improved Flood Conditions in Northern Thailand

Flooding in Northern Thailand is gradually receding, and most tourist attractions have reopened. However, some sites in Nan and Phrae remain temporarily closed due to high water levels and ongoing cleaning efforts. Visitors planning trips to these areas should verify local conditions to ensure a smooth visit.

Travel and Accessibility

Travel to all affected provinces, including Nan and Phrae, remains accessible by air, rail, or road. Flights to Nan Nakhon Airport are operational, while Phrae has limited direct flights. Train services to Lampang, Lamphun, and Uttaradit continue without any flood-related disruptions. Interprovincial bus services are running, with minor delays possible.

Open and Closed Attractions

In Phayao, Uttaradit, Lampang, Lamphun, and Mae Hong Son, all attractions have reopened. However, certain sites in Nan and Phrae are still affected. Seasonal and temporary closures are in place at Chiang Rai’s Phu Chi Fa National Park and other spots. For detailed updates, contact the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) or local offices.
