First responders at scene of airplane crash in Washington DC

An American Airlines flight has collided in mid-air with a helicopter in Washington DC.

The jet was carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, while three US Army soldiers were on board the military helicopter.

Video shows police response at the scene of the crash, as crews work to rescue passengers.
