Thailand’s “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025” campaign aims to elevate tourism and sports through strategic partnerships, improved infrastructure, and enhanced visitor experiences, targeting 39 million tourists and 3.4 trillion Baht revenue.

Tourism and Sports Strategy

Bangkok, 8 May 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand, under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, has launched the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025” campaign. This initiative elevates Thailand as a prime destination for tourism and sports. Approved by the Cabinet, it aims to unify public and private sector efforts, enhance competitiveness, and prepare for international visitors. The strategic framework, developed by the National Tourism Policy Committee, emphasizes collaboration across various sectors.

Enhancing Infrastructure and Connectivity

The campaign focuses on aviation, accommodation, and transport improvements. Airlines receive incentives like reduced fees, and efforts to raise accommodation standards are underway, including promoting Thai Homestay certifications. Transport will see enhanced connectivity through initiatives like the “Amazing Pass 1-Day Bangkok” to facilitate urban exploration. Additionally, visitor safety is prioritized with tourist assistance centers nationwide and improved visa processes, overseen by relevant ministries.

Global Marketing and Cultural Engagement

To boost visibility, the campaign utilizes traditional and digital media under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. International marketing has showcased Thai culture through festivals like “7 Months 7 Wonders” and the Maha Songkran World Water Festival. By collaborating with international partners and featuring at major global events, the campaign aims to attract over 39 million international visitors, generating significant tourism revenue and reinforcing Thailand’s image as a world-class destination.
