AMRO and CAFS co-hosted the ASEAN+3 Fiscal Policy and Management Exchange Workshop in Dalian, China, fostering collaboration on fiscal policy through the new AFPME platform.

Successful Collaboration in Dalian

AMRO collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences (CAFS), a part of the ASEAN+3 Financial Think-tank Network (AFTN), to co-host the ASEAN+3 Fiscal Policy and Management Exchange (AFPME) Capacity Building Workshop. This event took place in Dalian, China, on October 27-28, 2025. Both organizations aimed to foster an environment where ASEAN+3 members could engage constructively on fiscal matters, paving the way for more integrated financial cooperation and understanding across the region.

Launch of a New Platform

Supported by the China Technical Assistance Trust Fund, AMRO introduced the inaugural workshop as a central activity under the new AFPME initiative. This platform, launched in 2025, seeks to provide a venue for ASEAN+3 countries to exchange views, share experiences, and collaborate on pressing fiscal policy issues. The event marks a significant step forward in enhancing regional dialogue, ensuring participating nations can benefit from shared knowledge and strategies in fiscal management.
