In the Kyiv region, volunteers in the civilian defense force uses heavy machine guns to help defend against aerial attacks. One unit is made up almost entirely of women, inspiring the nickname the Bucha Witches. A volunteer named Yulia explains why she felt drawn to join the defense force, crediting her 10-year-old daughter with motivating her to serve her country.
