While Zurich, Switzerland’s largest international airport, offers most international flights, Geneva has expanded its long-haul routes and added some European ones as well.
As a reminder, four direct flights already link Geneva with the USA — by SWISS and Delta airlines to New York’s JFK, and with United airlines to Newark and Washington DC (other North America-bound flights leave from Zurich).
As for other long-haul destinations, these are the flights that will leave from Geneva over the summer 2025:
Middle East
Flynas, a Saudi airline ranked the 4th best low-cost carrier in the world in 2024 by Skytrax, offers seasonal flights to Riyadh.
They will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from June 24th to September 6th.
Also, Gulf Air will, as it did during the summer of 2024, offer two weekly flights between Bahrain and Geneva, with a stopover in Milan Malpensa both ways.
They are scheduled every Tuesday and Friday from June 3rd to September 12th, 2025.
Asia
Air China is increasing its frequencies to Beijing by adding an extra flight — which means you will be able to fly to the Chinese capital from Geneva six times a week: from July 22nd to August 26th, Monday to Saturday
Meanwhile, China Eastern airline will debut its direct flights from Geneva to Shanghai.
Flights will commence on June 16th and continue thereafter on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Africa
Ethiopian Airlines has been operating direct flights between Geneva and Addis Ababa since 2018, and will continue to do so this year as well.
These flights currently operate five times a week until the end of June 2025; after that, frequency will increase to six direct flights starting in July, from Tuesdays to Saturday.

What about short-haul flights?
Several new flights to Eastern Europe are in the summer timetable as well:
Serbia
Starting on June 23rd, Air Serbia will connect Geneva and Belgrade with flights operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Albania
Air Albania will operate a new direct route between Geneva and Tirana from July 2nd until October 24th on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Poland
EasyJet will commence flights from Geneva to Krakow from September 4th.
This route will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, until March 2026.
Between Europe and Asia: Georgia
On March 3rd, EasyJet inaugurated its twice-weekly flights (on Mondays and Thursday) from Geneva to Tbilisi.
And these are the flights to and from all of Switzerland’s airports — Zurich, Geneva, and Basel EuroAirport — this spring and summer:
