Swiss supermarkets have been experiencing an egg shortage since Christmas
Since the holidays, many shoppers have found themselves facing nearly (or totally) empty shelves where eggs once used to live.
Retailers like Migros are blaming this shortage on increased consumption, with egg production unable to meet the growing demand – especially during the Easter and Christmas holidays.
There is no word about when this product will become widely available again.

Two Swiss telecoms remove a channel accused of broadcasting Hamas propaganda
Until recently, both Swisscom and Sunrise broadcast Al Jazeera Arabic – but it is no longer the case.
“We received indications that Al Jazeera Arabic might be violating Swiss law,” said Swisscom spokesperson Alicia Richon.
The operator has therefore decided to remove the channel from its offering while these allegations are being investigated. However, the English-language version of Al Jazeera, aimed at a Western audience, continues to be broadcast.
A similar decision has been made at Sunrise.
According to spokesperson Rolf Ziebold. “Al Jazeera Arabic is no longer part of the optional language package offering several Arabic-language channels. This is because Al Jazeera Arabic’s content often operates in a legally grey area.”
There, too, the English-language version of the channel remains available.

Non-Americans face stricter rules for travel to the US
Swiss citizens who travel to the United States must sign up for a visa waver program called ESTA.
This process – which used to be relatively easy and quick – allowed applicants, including those from Switzerland, to remain in the country for up to 90 days.
However, the Trump administration is tightening these rules.
Foreign tourists and business travellers will now have to disclose their social media activity from the past five years – including deleted accounts – when applying for ESTA.
