Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv as Ukraine marked its Independence Day on August 24. Carney pledged 2 billion Canadian dollars in military aid for Ukraine, and said that no decisions about Ukraine should be made without its participation.
