
A light aircraft crashed into Switzerland’s Lake Lucerne on Monday morning.
The plane crash was first reported by Blick newspaper before being confirmed by Swiss authorities.
It was still unclear whether there were any fatalities as a result of the crash.
The aircraft crashed into the lake at around 9:45am, police spokesman Yanik Probst told Keystone-ATS, without giving details of any casualties.
It crashed into the Kreuztrichter, which is the area where the various arms of Lake Lucerne meet and is located to the west of Weggis in the canton of Lucerne.
Rescue teams from several cantons have been mobilised authorities said with drones also used in the search.
