Thailand has shut down checkpoints and tourist areas along its border with Cambodia following security incidents. Impacted regions include Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, and surrounding areas. Travelers are advised to steer clear of these locations.
Visitor Advisory
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) alerts travelers about recent security events along the Thailand–Cambodia border. Key areas like Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, and Surin are affected. The Royal Thai Army has closed several checkpoints and tourist zones to ensure safety. This includes border crossings, parks, and communities near the frontier. These measures maintain public safety and security. Authorities will update as conditions evolve.

Travel restrictions affect entry/exit through checkpoints, roads adjacent to borders, and observation areas. Visitors are advised to avoid several attractions. In Ubon Ratchathani, avoid Phu Chong Na Yoi National Park and Kaeng Lamduan. In Surin, Prasat Ta Muen Thom/Tod and Chong Chom are affected. In Si Sa Ket, Khao Phra Wihan National Park and Chong Sa Ngam are restricted.
