At the Georgian-Russian border, many Ukrainians deported by Russian authorities are stuck in harsh conditions. Even those with valid documents face obstacles, as rising deportations and upcoming changes to Georgian migration laws complicate their return home. Most of them are former inmates of prisons in Ukrainian territory forcibly seized by Moscow who are now being deported via Georgia.
