Barclays, a consumer, corporate and investment bank, has struck up new partnerships with two prominent UK music venues, becoming Founding Partner of Co-op Live and Principal Partner of The O2.

London’s The O2 is a 20,000-capacity arena, operated by AEG Europe. It hosts over 200 events each year, and has sold over 30 million tickets since opening in 2007.

The venue attracts over 10 million visitors each year, and is also home to the 2,750-capacity live music club Indigo at The O2.

Co-op Live, meanwhile, is described as the UK’s “newest premier venue”.  Located in Manchester, the 23,500-capacity arena hosts shows over 120 nights of the year and is claimed to be the largest arena in the UK.

It is a partnership between Oak View Group (OVG), City Football Group (CFG), and Co-op. It also counts Harry Styles as an investor.

“These world-class venues join our growing entertainment portfolio, reinforcing Barclays as a leading brand in entertainment, across music, sports and the arts.”

Tom Corbett, Barclays
