Musician Rishab Rikhiram Sharma has cancelled multiple shows amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

Sharma took to Instagram on Monday to announce the cancellation of his shows in Bengaluru, Surat, Kolkata, and Indore. In his post, Sharma wrote, “Dear Sitar for Mental Health Family, due to the recent events and conflicts, we have to proceed and cancel the shows planned for this month in Bengaluru, Surat, Kolkata, and Indore.”

He continued, “These moments call for solidarity, and art can wait. We need to stand tall with our nation in full support and care for each other’s safety. All refunds will be processed in 5-7 days through district updates.”

Sharma emphasised, “Saare Jahan Se Acha, Hindustaan Humara. Respect to our Indian forces and troops who ensure that we sleep safely at night. I will see you all online and continue to offer my music in these tough times. I love you, we will be back stronger and celebrate life and music together soon.”
