Thailand is enhancing cyber resilience through a new decree, upgraded crime suppression mechanisms, and international collaboration, aiming to protect citizens and combat online threats effectively.

Thailand is enhancing its cyber resilience by strengthening national mechanisms and boosting international cooperation led by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DE). This initiative aims to protect the nation’s digital landscape and its citizens from online threats and technology-related crimes.

On April 23, 2025, a high-level meeting chaired by Inspector-General Mr. Ekapong Harimcharoen focused on improving the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD). The TCSD has been revamped to respond swiftly to technology crimes, integrate government and private sector efforts, and ensure quick resolutions, such as suspending fraudulent accounts.
