The Securities and Exchange Board of India on Monday approved a proposal to double the AUM threshold for additional disclosure by foreign portfolio investors to ₹50,000 crore.
The board has decided to increase the threshold for granular disclosures by FPIs from the current ₹25,000 crore to ₹50,000 crore in AUM in the securities market.

In another major move, SEBI board also proposed the appointment of a High Level Committee to review the provisions relating to conflict of interest, disclosure pertaining to property, investments, liabilities and related matters in the respect of the members and officials of the board.
The HLC will submit its recommendations within three month, said SEBI chairperson Tuhin Kanta Pandey.
