It feels like only yesterday that I wrote our 2023 recap of the year’s best press cartoons. The months have flown by, along with historic events, in what has been a truly pivotal year for Europe. 

For Voxeurop too, the rhythm has only accelerated: our press reviews are now firmly established as a regular feature, we are hosting more Live events and publishing more (award-winning) investigations, we are hiring new collaborators and overhauling our accounting system (to the delight of our publishing director) …

The war in Ukraine and Gaza, the protests in Georgia, the elections in Europe and elsewhere: it’s a real challenge to sum up 2024 with a selection of press cartoons, as we do every year. Which is why, this year, we gave the task to our subscribers. We gave them the opportunity to make themselves heard and choose the best press cartoon published by Voxeurop each month – and they answered the call. Here are their selections:
