Eyewitnesses describe ski lift collapse

Eyewitnesses have described the moment a ski lift failed in the Spanish Pyrenees, leaving at least 17 people seriously injured.

One boy said people were “flying and pirouetting”, when the “whole chair suddenly started bouncing”.

Ambulances and helicopters ferried the injured to hospital.

The cause of the chair-lift failure is currently unknown.
