The Tourism Authority of Thailand and EVA Air renewed their partnership to boost tourism to Thailand through joint marketing and increased flight connections, enhancing Thailand’s visibility as a top destination.

Strategic Partnership Renewal

Bangkok, 19 November 2024 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and EVA Air have extended their strategic alliance with a four-year Letter of Intent (LOI) aimed at enhancing tourism from key global markets to Thailand. The signing took place in Bangkok, attended by TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool and EVA Air Executive Vice President Mr. Albert Liao, alongside senior representatives. The LOI was executed by TAT Deputy Governor Ms. Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai and EVA Air Vice President Mr. Tang Tseng.

Marketing Initiatives

The partnership will focus on joint marketing campaigns, media familiarization trips, enticing travel packages, and participation in various tradeshows. These initiatives aim to capitalize on their prior successes, such as the 2023 tram campaign in Amsterdam, which significantly boosted visibility for Thailand and EVA Air’s services. Additionally, successful promotions at the 2024 BOOKIZCON in South Korea and networking events in Japan have bolstered Thailand’s tourism profile. Mr. Liao emphasized the partnership’s role in enhancing Thailand’s allure as a top travel destination.

EVA Air’s Expanded Services

EVA Air, headquartered in Taipei and a Star Alliance member, is distinguished by its modern fleet and exceptional service. It currently runs 28 weekly flights between Bangkok and Taipei, with plans to expand to 32 weekly flights from January 15 to March 29, 2025. The airline facilitates connections within Asia and offers direct flights to European cities. EVA Air operates 87 weekly flights linking Thailand to major North American cities, positioning it as a primary carrier for travelers from the region. Their excellence is recognized by numerous accolades, including a 5-Star Airline certification from SKYTRAX.
