For the second year in a row, all signs point to a running back winning the NFL’s Offensive Player of the year award, at least through eight weeks.

The Niners’ Christian McCaffrey won the award last year, after racking up 1,459 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns, along with 564 receiving yards and seven receiving scores.

However, he is not in the running for OPOY, after San Francisco placed its star running back on IR.

So if not McCaffrey, who will be named the league’s top offensive star this season?

Here’s a look at the latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook as of Nov. 5.

NFL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR ODDS:

Derrick Henry, Ravens RB: -125 (bet $10 to win $18 total)
Saquon Barkley, Eagles RB: +200 (bet $10 to win $30 total)
Justin Jefferson, Vikings WR: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals WR: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions WR: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Lamar Jackson, Ravens QB: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)

After the Eagles’ new running back Saquon Barkley remained atop the oddsboard for a majority of the first part of the season, Baltimore’s Derrick Henry supplanted him after Week 5 and hasn’t looked back.

Henry leads the league in rushing yards (1,052) and rushing touchdowns (11). Between Week 3 and Week 7, he tallied 743 rushing yards (148.6 yards per game) and six scores.

In Week 9, he had 23 carries for 106 yards and a score, giving him his fifth 100-yard rushing performance of the year. He’s also scored a rushing TD in eight of the Ravens’ nine games this season.

In the game in which he didn’t score a rushing TD, he had a receiving score.

Henry was named Offensive Player of the Year back in 2020.

Despite Henry’s dominance, Barkley hasn’t been far behind. Over the last three weeks, he has 443 rushing yards (147.7 yards per game), two rushing scores and one receiving score.
