Azerbaijan’s ANAMA releases weekly data on demining activities in liberated territories

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. The Azerbaijan
National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has released its weekly
report on humanitarian demining operations in the territories
liberated from occupation, Trend reports via the agency.

According to the agency, a total of 164 anti-personnel and 73
anti-tank mines, as well as 7,421 unexploded ordnances, were found
and defused in Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha,
Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and
Zangilan from October 28 through November 3.

Additionally, 2,207 hectares of land were swept clean of mines
over the past week.

To note, following the liberation of its lands, Azerbaijan began
operations in November 2020 to clean its lands of mines, booby
traps, and other weaponry left behind by illegal Armenian
forces.
