Spain has long been a favorite holiday spot for Norwegians who want warmer weather and cheaper prices. Now, getting to Andalusia will be even simpler.

Norwegian is expanding its route network and will add a new direct flight between Oslo and Seville in southern Spain, starting in spring 2027.

The route between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Seville will start on March 20th, 2027 and run through to June 16th. The service will then pause during peak summer before resuming on August 18th and operating until October 30th, 2027, according to an official statement from the airline.

Flights, which will take around 4 hours each way, will run twice a week, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

While ticket prices fluctuate based on travel dates, The Local found round-trip tickets available for less than 1,000 kroner (€95) for the “low fare” option.

Andalusia remains one of the top holiday choices for Norwegians visiting Spain.

Seville itself is known for its rich culture, Andalusian heritage, stunning architecture, friendly vibe, and great food. Among the city’s most popular attractions are the Real Alcázar palace, the Giralda bell tower, and Plaza de España.

The city is also a good starting point for trips to Spanish gems like the cities of Córdoba and Granada, and has become a popular destination for golf lovers, with several excellent golf courses in and around the city.

“Seville is a destination that truly invites exploration and experiences. With its unique combination of Andalusian culture, spectacular architecture, and an exciting culinary scene, the city has a great deal to offer Norwegian travellers,” said Catharina Solli, communications manager at Norwegian. “With a direct flight between Oslo and Seville, the old town with its iconic sights, as well as the city’s lively tapas bars and relaxed atmosphere, is only a short flight away.”

In addition to the Oslo service, Norwegian will offer flights to Seville from Copenhagen, alongside a separate route connecting Copenhagen to Santiago de Compostela between June 19th and August 18th, 2027 for those adventurers seeking a faster connection to embark on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.
